Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher (ECCAT)
The Education Cluster houses two programs at MCTEC dedicated to exploring the field of education.
Grow Your Own (GYO) is a program that is designed to fast-track students who want to become educators. Students enroll in FREE dual credit course work through our local college and university partners. Students also complete observations at local elementary and middle schools.
Early Classroom Assistant Teacher (ECCAT) is a program designed for students interested in working as a teacher's aide. This program allows students to get observation hours, complete requirements for teacher's aide licensing, and learn about the growing occupations in the field of education.

There are advanced courses available in every program for completers. Approval for advanced courses is at the discretion of the Director. Please fill out the Advanced Course Request form and return it to MCTEC.
The GYO Program of Study is eligible for college credit through dual credit coursework. This program of study allows students to take general studies
